Features · Onboarding

No new starter goes live with paperwork missing.

Add a person and their checklist is created from your template. Until every required item is done, waived with a reason, or ticked by an uploaded document, they stay in onboarding.

What it does

  • Your checklist, not ours

Build templates with the tasks you actually need: required or optional, due a number of days after the start date, visible to the administrator, the manager or the employee, owned by a role or a named person, with an email when something is done.

  • Required means required

An employee cannot be made active while a required item is outstanding, and the refusal lists what is missing. An item can be waived, with a written reason, and the dashboard shows who is overdue.

  • Documents tick themselves off

Upload a signed agreement or a tax declaration and the matching checklist item is completed for you. A generated employment agreement does the same.

  • Personal details encrypted from day one

IRD number, bank account, address, tax code, emergency contact and visa number are encrypted when they are stored, and only people with the right permission can read them on screen.

  • Visas and certificates, before they lapse

Visa type, dates and conditions are recorded, with alerts ahead of expiry and a list of who needs attention. Document and training expiries alert the same way, and weekly hours are checked against a visa's limits when a timesheet is submitted.

  • Agreements generated and signed

Generate an employment agreement from a template with the person's details merged in, then request signatures in the app: the signer draws or types a signature, the file is checked for tampering before every signature, and a fully signed document cannot be deleted.

Worth knowing

The limits, stated plainly, so nothing on this page says more than the software does.

  • The gate holds the employee's status. Someone still in onboarding can be rostered (with a warning) and can clock in.
  • Employees imported from a spreadsheet are created active, with no checklist.
  • Generated agreements are starting points for your employment adviser, not finished contracts; pay, hours and notice are left for you to fill in, and they say so on their face.
  • Signing is for people who already have a login in your organisation; there is no signing link for outside parties.
  • Visa checks are recorded by an administrator. There is no automatic check with Immigration New Zealand.
