Features · Clock in and out

Clock in from the phone they already carry.

Clock in, clock out, start and end breaks — from a personal phone or a shared kiosk. You decide how much proof each clock-in needs, and the approver sees exactly what was captured.

What it does

  • Location at the moment of the punch

The phone's location is asked for only when a button is pressed, with the person's permission. A punch inside one of your worksites is tagged with the site; one outside the person's home site is flagged for the approver.

  • A photo when you need it

By default a clock-in offers a selfie that can be declined. Turn on "require location and photo" and a clock-in without both is refused. A clock-out is never refused — it is recorded and flagged instead, so nobody is trapped on the clock.

  • A face kiosk for shared devices

Sign a tablet into kiosk mode and staff clock by looking at the camera, with a name-and-PIN fallback. Enrolment is done by an administrator, needs the person's acknowledgement of the biometric privacy notice, and stores an encrypted face template rather than a photo.

  • Who is in, right now

Managers see a live board of who is on the clock for their team, refreshed every twenty seconds, and the flags on each punch.

  • Mistakes are fixable, and audited

A person can undo their own last punch within fifteen minutes. A manager can remove a punch for their team, and every removal is logged.

  • From the clock to the timesheet

Days worked on the clock but missing from the timesheet are listed on the clock page, the timesheet and the dashboard. One tap sends a day across as a draft entry the person can still edit, and it goes through approval like any other.

Worth knowing

The limits, stated plainly, so nothing on this page says more than the software does.

  • Location is never tracked in the background — only at the moment someone presses a button.
  • A punch outside the worksite is flagged, not refused. The call stays with the approver.
  • Nothing moves to the timesheet on its own: the employee sends each day, and a day still running or a week already submitted cannot be sent.
  • The kiosk takes no punch photo and keeps no face photo — only an encrypted template, deleted when the person is archived.
  • An optional liveness check (a live person in front of the camera, not a picture) uses a cloud service Ask Your HR sets up; without it the kiosk falls back to a simpler in-browser check.
